The Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation and Information, having consulted with major stakeholders, has taken the decision to reopen schools one week later than was previously communicated. Students will resume face-to-face engagement on Monday, 7th September; while teachers will return to school on Monday, 31st August, to assist with finalizing arrangements for the new school year.
The purpose of this document is to provide actionable guidance to school officials for the prevention and early detection of COVID-19 in the school setting.
The Ministry of Education is currently engaged in the process of reviewing the preliminary results of the 2020 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) Examinations with assistance from the Caribbean Examinations Council.
