History

The School Feeding Programme became operational in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the 1st February 1984. During the period 1984-1996 the programme was fully funded by the United Nations World Food Programme.

The United Nations funding of the programme ended on the 31st December, 1996. On January 1st 1997, the Nutrition Support Programme was established and is fully funded by the Government.
