The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC), has adopted a phased approach to its 2020/21 academic year.
Phase One saw the re-opening of its Division of Nursing Education (DNE), on 7th September, followed by Phase Two – Division of Teacher Education (DTE), on 14th September. The Third Phase includes the College's largest divisions - Arts, Sciences & General Studies (DASGS), and Technical & Vocational Education (DTVE), which will see Year Two students adopt a blended-learning approach with classes set to commence Monday 21st September, 2020.
The Fourth and Final Phase will see the SVGCC welcome new students to DASGS and DTVE in later September, after the release of their CXC/CSEC results.
Director of the SVGCC, Mr. Nigel Scott, commented, “These are challenging times and as educators we need to be responsible and reasonable. At the SVGCC, we will do our best to ensure that our stakeholders, who interact on a daily basis on our campuses, are kept safe as they participate in the teaching-learning process”.
The SVGCC will announce when its application portal will open for prospective DASGS and DTVE students in a future release.
