The Ministry of Education will be implementing a phased reopening of schools from Monday, 4th October, 2021, occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic. The reopening has been set using the following models:

The Ministry of Education is issuing a call for one teacher from each school to enroll in a free course on Designing and Developing Online Assessments, scheduled to begin in November this year.

The preliminary results of the 2021 Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) indicate that almost 85% of registered students met the prescribed standard. A total of 1593 from the 1895 candidates achieved at least half of the possible 500 marks. Of these, 751 are males and 842 are females.
